We had a busy week between colds and such. Katie is getting ready to start her third to last week at work and we are all thankful for a future with less germs and fewer hectic days filled with other peoples' children. Speaking of other peoples' children, Katie and Simon had a nice visit on Thursday night with several of their baby friends and mothers. Simon may be the smallest but by the looks of the picture he is the only one who can focus on the photographer(who was not even his own mother). They left me at home and chained me to the oven so I could learn to bake bread so they can eat after Katie no longer brings home the bacon..... I succeeded- look at the beatiful loaves- too bad you can't smell them. Simon was ticked he couldn't sample their goodness. He likes to hang out with me in the kitchen. Today he helped me bake a marbled chocolate and vanilla cake. He cried (like his mother) when I wouldn't let him lick the batter off the spoon.
