Before we prepare for our Christmas visitors, Katie, Simon, and I decided to be the visitors and go see Great Grandma Beery and Aunt Janice at Grandma's apartment in Oak Harbor, Washington. After a short hour drive we hopped on the passenger ship across the strait to Whidbey Island where Aunt Janice picked us up off the dock and drove us fifteen minutes north to Grandma's. Simon thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride- it was bumpy and he jumped up and down on the seat between rolling waves. He also thought Great Grandma was fun. She has lots of stuffed animals to play with! At lunch he ate a half a grilled cheese sandwich (we payed for that after we got home.....). It was a fun day and we are looking forward to our next visit to the island to see Great Grandma and Aunt Jan.
