Hey Everybody! This week it's finally my turn to deliver some commentary. I mean, I'm three weeks shy of Two years old and even though I may not talk much it isn't cause I can't. It's because I have to play subtle second fiddle to my crazy, over-the-top, show-off, motor-mouth of an older brother. I mean one look at the photo above would tell you this. Who's the kid subltly pointing at his brand new underpants that signal his leap from toddlerhood and who's the superfreak doing the underpants dance even though he's been using the big boy potty for two years? Give me a freaking break.
Completely opposite of Simon's dominantion of the attention scene, I'm just a little shy of the camera these days. I'd rather hide my face in Dad's armpit than demonstrate a little enjoyment of our new Fire Station for the camera.
But despite a little shyness on my behalf, Grammie and Grandpa blew in for a late fall visit this weekend. We had a whirwind tour of the pumpkin patch and Hurricane Ridge today. It was fantastic weather and the light was perfect for a whole slew of photos.
Enjoy, As you will see I had a lot of stuff to show Grammieand Grandpa...like pigs (we won't even go to Simon's new fascination with male pigs parts...), corn mazes, pumpkin fields, boiling cauldrons, and pumpkin slingshots.

After pumpkining we raced home for some grub and charged up the mountain. I heard dad say it was the best weather and least crowd yet for a ridge trip. We soaked up some sun, read some signs, heard Grandpa tell us about Giant loggers and monster chipmunks, and generally bugged everyone but Dad for a carry ('cause everone knows he's the only one who can actually do it for more than a couple minutes and what fun is it to bug the one who can throw down?). I took the opportunity to catch a nap on the drive up and so when we got there I managed to weasel my way into almost every situation for the entire afternoon while Simon just whined and dragged cause he skipped his nap. When do you think he'll learn to close his mouth and just breath every once in a while. I think never...

Uh-oh. Now I've gone and hogged my limelight and fallen behind.
Later gators. I've gotta jog fast on these short legs to catch up to the pack.
Oh yeah, and how cool am I? I went to let Crash outside tonight and saw a Racoon in his food bowl. I chased that sucker away (from inside of course) then told Dad to let Crash out. He waited just long enough to let the critter climb the fence and then let Crash and Annie have at it. I proclaimed the triumph of saving all involved from fur flying doom and ran a victory lap around the living room in my jammies getting high fives and knuckles from All!

What a terrific reward for waiting the extra time for a post from you all! Derek so glad your parents were able to come. The little monsters grow so fast. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us.

Love to all, Gammy
