These seven toddlers and pre-schoolers are absolutely excited about the lights, the noise, and the jolly old elf riding an appropriately illuminated fire truck!

But they're going to be a bit disappointed because Sunday night, on his SCHEDULED night to visit our street, he DIDN'T!
The neighborhood kids stayed outside from about 6:30 to 8:30 (way past our children's bedtime- and why is another story that we will be nice and won't discuss here...). Santa and the PAPD never showed. Our boys went to bed with the promise we would find him across town the next night and that Santa hadn't really forgotten them. Instead, let's just say, the fire department got called out on a giant house fire caused by amateur attempts of exterior illumination.
We haven't been terribly successful with Santa Pictures this year. This is one of his Walmart helpers we happened upon during morning errands. Simon was plenty happy to crawl up and tell a helper his Christmas wish but has refused if the jolly old elf appears to be the real deal with a real beard. Go Figure. Plus, we missed the yearly City Hall visit when we were in Seattle last week. Oh well...
ENJOY!

I'm so glad you found the truck...I felt so awful that it didn't come to your place after the boys were so excited for it! Much love!
Oh my goodness....your boys are so beautiful! I love how you fill this month with so much joy...
