Sorry to you all for the recent bloggy dry spell. The weather hasn't been all that bad and we've been out soaking up sun rays and such; seeing as how we know what lies ahead in the dead of winter for the Dark and Wet Olympic Peninsula.
The dogs are leashed and we''ve obviously done a great job teaching our buckaroos about dead weight anchorage. Here they are, too, doing their best forest elf impersonations at the Lincoln Park Disc Golf Shack.
See? I wasn't kidding. We take every opportunity to get in some outside time. Katie and the boys have recently been invited as regulars on the Sunday Morning Pee-fest/ Walk (depending upon whether you ask the dogs or me the purpose).During the bloggy dry spell the boys have been soaking up Christmas. They hit the Teddy Bear Tea sporting their favorite capes and some stuffed friends (Yes it was the day after Thanksgiving and No I did not mean for you to think that their mother was part of the "Stuffed " - she is beautiful in her pink scarf.)
Finn mad a beeline for his buddy Elmo.
Katie, despite (or perhaps directly the result of) living with me chose to have her picture with the Grinch.
And Simon is perhaps missing the larger softer version of his dad? Or maybe he was just more literal in the true spirit of the Teddy Bear Tea.
Later, the buckaroos hammed it up a bit on the way back to the car.
This week was also operation Candy Cane. Last year we waited and waited with the neighbors on our street only to get stood up. This year we hopped in the car and met it at its first stop. Good thing too. Santa and the firemen missed out house by a couple blocks again this year. I sure hope our house never catches fire because it seems the PAPD does not, in fact, know there are houses on our block. Thankfully, we KNOW Santa does...
