It seems like we have been running at full speed since the last blog post. Unfortunately full speed means mostly blurry photos (or no photos at all). What we can prove is that there have been minus tides at Salt Creek and that we had a splendid visit with Hannah and Zach. Although the sisters get to hang out occasionally- I had not seen Zach except for a brief two days at Josh and Arden's wedding two weeks before Katie, Simon, and I moved to Port Angeles.
Don't fret anyone, the boys made sure that Hannah and Zach had their fill of 3 and 5 year old antics.
Oh yeah guess what else happened this week. We no longer have two pre-schoolers. Simon has (GASP!) passed pre-school and is all set to have his Kindergarten orientation next week. Here's the graduate with his buddies all smartly sporting their "teenager" hats.
Here's the diploma passing. I'm betting he doesn't get a hug with his next two or three diplomas... Simon will miss Mrs. Zorba but we're thinking she won't have time to miss him with his dastardly little brother set to demolish the Holy Trinity Pre-School classroom come fall.
As of 4 pm this evening I get to check the big summer ticket off my to-do list ( and one day before the unofficial beginning of Summer!). The climbing wall is (mostly) done and fully functional. Simon especially requested this having had a taste of such fun in the grade school gymnasiums. His request made it just fine for me to finally take the plunge and put one in. Our inside joke could be that if I'd have had enough left over I'd have flown you all in to dedicate it . But I didn't even get jelly of the month club from the City for a Christmas Bonus. So you'll just have to get yourselves here and I'll make sure I have a liability waiver for you as a welcome gift.
And yes,
there is a crash pad...
there is a crash pad...
One final thing to close the post. We have no picture to go with it so use your imaginations... Simon has a new nickname in our house. 10 or 15 times a day his Mother, Finn, or I refer to him as "Yahbbut" (no he hasn't been to Hebrew School) as in "Simon, please put your milk in the fridge." "Yeah but I wasn't done yet..." or "Simon finish your lunch. You asked for apple slices." "Yeah but I wanted green apples and you gave me red".
