Saturday, October 6

So I realize that some time has passed since the last post. Grammie and Grandpa's visit is already a week gone. We have done so much. But, I must admit that the photo to the left accurately depicts my frame of mind by the end of a work week.  Have you seen the movie Multiplicity?  I need a clone. I don't want the first two that Michael Keaton ends up with. I want the deranged one who wears goggles and calls everyone "Shteeve." Then I might be able to blog more while that version of me monitors several large projects at work...

So now I finally have a few peaceful moments to have a cup of coffee and sit in a comfortable chair on a cold morning and post this blog.

"Finn, we hear so much about soccer how does one play this sport?"
"Well, Grammie. First Simon takes the ball from a pack of small children in red and blue shirts."

"Then he deftly weaves from the back end of the ravenous pack to the front and past the opposing coach: a nice british fireman who can't believe this one kid just sliced and diced his team."
"Then with blurring speed, Simon wallops the ball with his cleated foot -right into the little yellow goal at the other end of the field." "And right afterward..."

"...you kick your heels over your head onto the turf and do the alligator to celebrate!"

"That was a great game, wasn't it Grammie and Grandpa?"

After a daytrip to the Kitsap Peninsula  to hit Toys 4 Us (Finn replaces the "R") and a glass pumpkin patch on Saturday, we took a quick tour to Webster's Woods to look for some new art installations. We found some. The light wasn't great but here are a couple nice ones with some serious digital manipulation (not because the models were hideous, just because the light was difficult).

All in all it was a nice weekend visit with Grammie and Grandpa!
