And now for something completely normal

Some time back Finn surprised us with his Lego skills completely following the directions and building his Legends of Chima set all by himself. Like I said- that was some time ago, they have since lost access to their vast supply of Legos due to behavior issues. In the meantime Simon has taken up scavenging for leftover landscaping scraps and adding them to our front yard.

The crocus are blooming radiantly under our dreary March skies. Finn doesn't care. He'll run over them with his remote control truck.
Then he'll hop on his bike and leave skid marks across the driveway.

The adults have spent the last two weeks working hard on the landscaping in the front yard.  We have  two new apple trees and three rose bushes in this nice rock lined island. The rocks almost entirely came from the bed. I felt like someone punched me in the buttocks continuously for three hours after digging it. And yes, you all know how I have two young children. So I know what it feels like to be punched in the buttocks continuously for three hours.

The boys posed nicely for the photo as they saw an opportunity to remind you all that Easter is just two weeks away and you may contribute to their baskets along with the Easter Bunny if you'd like (greedy little slimes that they are...). I don't believe you are seeing an optical illusion. Finn very well may be taller and wider in the shoulders than Simon now.

Look for upcoming photos of Simon's archery class and family gardening.  There won't be photos but on Wednesday Simon and his school get to FaceTime with Pete Carroll, who coaches the Seattle Seahawks, and hang with a Seahawk girl who used to go to Simon's elementary school. Have a great week. Spring has sprung. Good thing too; I was sharpening my machete and muttering to myself incoherently due to all the indoor time in our small, open format house.

Great pics! I love Simon's shaggy hair, and I can't believe Finn has grown so much. Also, are you sure it wasn't them butt-punching you?

ps. The yard looks great!
