Last weekend was alright.  We  participated in Coulee Kids Day and while the boys only won a tiny little prize after suffering through an agonizingly amateur magic show by some ancient part time illusionist and self proclaimed comedian, I think they had a nice time.  One highlight for Finn was the fire truck- Port Angeles never let him try on the gear- And I knew all the firefighters there too.

For both boys the master spectacle was the trout fishing tank  at the Tribal Museum. Both boys took a turn and  hooked one!  Much to the boys' delight the attendants quickly dispensed the fish and vacuum sealed them for the freezer. Ours never made it there.  Instead they were quickly gutted and later cooked and devoured by two boys hungry to taste their catch.

We also visited the car show. Finn and I like the 1930s hotrod and Simon liked one of the newer Harley Davidson motorcycles. We chalked at the skatepark. I'm sure the super churchy families really appreciated our 1980s vintage skate graffiti in chalk. I can just hear some uptight home school mom complaining about the uncouth youth who drew the rat bones and slashing skateboard fiends.

This weekend we are trying something new. Katie and I have 10 questions. We'll get answers from each boy. We'll post them along with two photos that the boys have posed. We're excited to see what the two young rapscallions come up with for our two or three readers out there... And next week is soccer camp.  We had to bump Finn into the big boy group due to lack of shorter participants. We shall see how that goes.
