BIGFOOT DOESN'T BELIEVE IN YOU EITHER...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
a fitting sign for the Downhill Course and a fitting slogan for our busy lives these days, I guess. More about the World Cup race after the jump but in the meantime:
Simon is becoming an avid rock climber and a goal scoring machine at soccer these days. Check out the striker action between Simon and Eli this past week! Simon scored 5 massive goals and had two assists that were incredible where he fed the ball right to Eli in front of the goal (on purpose).
We see the Coast Guard Dolphin helicopters over our house daily but Holy Trinity Pre-school took a trip out to the tip of the hook to check them out in the Coast Guard Hangar for some close-up, crawling around time. Finn got in on the fun too.
We're getting a bit more mobile at Dry Hill. We still can't seem to make it to the end of the day to see the pros race but we got to see them practice on Saturday. And that turned out to be a good thing because the two highest ranked racers were both hurt by the end of the day Saturday. These photos show that we have been able to stand in some different places along the course and get a better perspective of the technical difficulty involved. The boys have even discovered that they are actually allowed to make tons of noise during the race. We'll have to look for some cowbells before the next one. That's it. I'm exhausted after hiking around the hill from 9 to 2, taking the new Stumpjumper out for a 5 mile trail sprint and then running 2.5 more trail miles. (Not trying to brag- I just have some catching up to do-did you check out how awesome Katie looks in the 5.10 van picture?)
