Halloween Week is over! The three boxes of decorations, movies, and books are carefully placed in the crawlspace and our Autumn decorations are in place for three weeks until we show Boo and Pops what the day after Thanksgiving means in the Beery House (a hint? Christmas pukes green, red, and tinsel all over our house!) But enough looking ahead; here is a recap of the past week:
Finn celebrated his first Holy Trinity Lutheran Pre-school Halloween Party with his buddy and our next door neighbor Ethan.
The six Halloween-ers (yes there is no picture with all six present) paraded the church and performed a Funkified Halloween Jingle for the parents with Mrs. Zorba.
Then it was off to Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Mills house for some tricks and treats. And speaking of Mrs. Mills and school...
On Friday Simon was presented with the Hamilton Elementary Super Citizen Award at an all school assembly. They should really call it Kindergartener of De-Stink-shun (that's what I told Simon after I told him how proud of him I was...). Katie, Finn, and I were all present to cheer him on for his achievement. His class was also presented with the golden shoe award for setting the bar high for good behavior in the hallways (apparently not for which class needs a royal kick in the @$$- but you all understand my sense of humor by now, right?).

We also added to the plethora of costumes during Walmart's after Halloween half off sale. Which one's Which?
Today, then, was the deconstruction of Halloween. Here our little local natives are putting up some Thanksgiving decorations that say "Happy Harvest" and "Give Thanks". We have so much to give thanks for this year. Special thanks to all of you who follow the blog and support us in so many different ways!
