Finn gives this rockin' and rollin' post from the edge of the world a big ol' two thumbs up!
The world's greatest rock band, a.k.a. Recess Monkey, played Port Angeles this week and their two biggest fans were there to check out their gear, watch the set, chat with the musicians, get a couple t-shirts, and be good little monkeynauts.

We went to Hurricane Ridge today as our last foray into the wilds of Olympic National Park as "locals." Unfortunately it was quite foggy so there were no scenic skylines of the Strait or the Olympics; but it made for some very cool spooky photos that felt like we were sitting eating our lunch at the true edge of the world.

We even found some snow and though there were no avalanche lilies left there were plenty of other mountain wildflowers around in vibrant purples, pinks, magentas, whites, yellows, and greens. The tourists thought the deer were great. Us? they're okay if they aren't eating your apple trees...
We have definitely loved this national treasure and I am sure we will return. Next time perhaps we will get to be true explorers and take a week to explore the backcountry. One can always dream.

Overall today was a nice reminder of one of the things we have greatly loved here. The week in general was bittersweet with lots of goodbyes at work, at play, and around the neighborhood. Tomorrow will be a day of hard work preparing for packers on Monday and then we are off to our new home.
