Out at the lake the seven kids had a stairwell dance party while the adults had a chance to catch up after the Christmas holiday. I think that the kids' idea here was akin to the Gong Show; except if your dance sucked too much Simon blasted you with the Nerf Shotgun. I'm glad I never got a turn...
And then we coated-up and headed into the foggy lake-shore night to coat the air with an extra thick haze of fireworks smoke.
It was great fun. Fireworks are waaaaaaay cheaper at New Year's and there is no worry of brushfire and (extra important) you don't have to wait so late to start because it gets dark so much earlier. This all equates into a much easier, longer, and more fun session of blowing stuff up. I highly recommend fireworks at New Year's.
Katie and I hope you New Year is filled with good things. Now I have to quit blogging and go yell at two little boys who have grown quite spoiled these past couple weeks.
