So after the first round of guests Simon passed some time doing battle on the Wii.
And then, ahead of schedule, Aunt Hannah arrived. Boo and Pops were a bit distracted by the joyous miracle of Christmas this year and arrived just a bit later to Washington state than had been originally planned.
But don't worry. The boys were able to hide their disappointment with these super-sweet bearded hats that Aunt Hannah knitted for them. And in the end it was only a matter of a couple hours late that....

Boo and Pops were here! They were soooooo excited!  They LOVE LOVE LOVE-d their gifts from the boys.

The gang spent the next couple days conducted experiments around the house. This one involved some serious egg-sucking.  This one may forever go down as our Egg-Sucking Christmas- just like last year was the One Where Dad Stole the Tree.

When they weren't experimenting- they were all snuggled in together.

Here are Pops and the boys researching yet another experiment: how to cut magically a banana inside the peel.

One of the last things the gang did, while I went back to work, was to go to my work and check out the dam visitor center. They had a great time.  The boys were much more enthralled with this visit now that they know more about the dam.  Finn tried out some historic jackhammers while Simon thought about going for a dive. And then, sadly, the Grandparent visits were over and it was New Year's Eve.
