While Katie and I cooked pizza for dinner the others chilled out on the couch and watched some Christmas classics like Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.
And suddenly it was time for presents from the family!
The boys made out like highway robbers. One of their gifts from Grammie and Grandpa was these iPad controlled glowing orbs. The boys mastered the driving and then raced beams of glowing Christmas Spirit through the living room. It was satisfying and fun night and then suddenly it was time for bed. NORAD was indicating that Santa was approaching rapidly from the east.
Christmas morning arrived quite quickly. Santa's note said that he was happy for us that we were in a new place and had a new house with adequate reindeer landing space and roomy chimney access.

As Simon stated: "It may not have been the biggest Christmas but it was pretty good stuff." He's right. Santa held back on the quantity this year but the quality was hard to beat as it included things they boys had asked for and a few others they didn't even know existed.
We didn't have much snow left Christmas morning but thankfully it frosted hard in a freezing fog and you wouldn't believer the amount of thick frost covering things when we ventured out on the Downriver Trail for a morning hike. It was beautiful.
We returned home and spent the rest of the day with Grammie and Grandpa trying out new toys. Finn and Grandpa enjoyed a few rounds of mini-golf and Katie and Grammie took in some scooter derby. And then, just like the rest of the month blew by in a flash, it was time for Grammie and Grandpa to head home to Missoula while we prepared for a visit from the Collins.
