Alright, the month of December seems to have just cruised on by without a blog.  The whole thing seems a bit blurry to me, I have to admit.  With Christmas parties, field trips, work, guests, friends, dinner parties, football games, a long work trip and then family blowing in for the holiday things got away from me. So here's a look at our December leading up to Christmas.

Simon spent the early part of the month doing his best partridge in a pear tree imitation. It was really much closer to a quail hunter in a walnut tree, however.

Then he and Crash ventured deeper down the Coulee to hunt some rabbits.

Finn, on the other hand, stayed quite busy with a Pre-school Field-trip to the Post Office and then a blowout Christmas Party.

About December 20th it finally decided to snow in the Coulee and the boys took advantage of the dusting. It hung around until just before Christmas. The boys were quite confused that it wouldn't roll into a snowman.  They got too used to the mashed potato snow we always got in Port Angeles. Don't worry, it warmed up enough later in the week and we had a couple serious snowball fights as the white stuff turned brown and wet to lead into the holiday.

And suddenly it was Christmas break and time to mix up some dough, roll our balls in some sugar, and bake up some chocolate crinkles for Santa. (And just in case you snickered I meant balls of raw cookie dough rolled in sugar.)
