Alright, I'm sorry.  I see it is now several weeks ago that I last published a blog. Since then we have traveled to North Carolina and home, Missoula and home, and gardened, libraried, home improved, and become a two-income and two job family for the first time since Simon was 3 months old. We're just plain busy. Here's a whole slew of pictures.
Salsa season has come and gone. Next year we plant twice as many peppers and onions!

Simon lost tooth #1.  More are wiggly and soon to fall. The Tooth Fairy is on call.

The boys were ex"static" with the Coulee Dam Public Library Summer Reading Series. They may not have scored Recess Monkey like the Port Angeles library used to, but they had many science programs. The highlight was the Reptile Guy who let Simon try on a live alligator hat and Finn drive the latest in eco-fashion: a tortoise cruiser.  It didn't hurt either that Finn won the grand reading prize of a new bike! See that below.

Our trip to North Carolina was so quick and busy that we hardly had a chance to take many photos.  It seemed a camera was always pointed in our direction but I haven't been able to score many of the results to post here.  Here's a few that show all the family we saw on our three days in the South.

Then it was back to Coulee. Simon finally bailed off the dock at Spring Canyon.

We spent Labor Day weekend in Missoula to celebrate both Grandpa Jim's and Katie's birthdays. Finn and Simon got some golf practice in and then spent some time fishing. Finn and I both got skunked but Simon managed to catch four fish! He was mighty proud.

Mrs. Beery, kindergarten teacher extrordinaire, has a new haircut and is ready to head to work tomorrow!  The school may or may not be ready for her tomorrow but her first official day is Wednesday. The boys both head to class next Monday.

We'll finish with just a few grapes. Katie's about had it with this color green today. We painted the boys playroom a shade of green about spot on with these little sour balls and then picked what we estimate are six gallons of Chardonnay Grapes.  Too bad we don't have the equipment to make wine...
