First of all, Finn was awarded his white belt in Hapkido this week after one month of diligent kicking, punching, balancing, counting in Korean, and other skillfull martail arts practices. He sat very respectfully and proudly accepted his award.
Depsite a few flurries we jumped in the family truckster and headed out to Marymere for a Sunday morning hike. With growing boys oozing energy we decided to try Barnes Creek out too. The falls were churning and we even found some spots of sunlight along Barnes Creek. We have two tired boys but Katie and I are heading out to tow them in the bike trailer now. After running in 40 mph winds yesterday we must be outside today and enjoy the pockets of chilly sunshine.
I'm pretty sure this is Pyramid Peak. It was gorgeously frosty and quite a sight from the parking lot at Storm King Ranger Station this morning.
