So here I sit blogging. Before I tell you what a good old fashioned Halloween we had here in Coulee Dam -let me say this: We don't really miss Port Angeles and let me tell you why. The other night the father of one of Finn's pre-schoolmates came over to deliver the excellent class photos that he took (as a donation to the program so long as parents paid a few bucks for them). He asked about the fishing at Port Angeles and we told him that we really couldn't say as no one had ever shared or offered to take me out. Next day, he sent a whole smoked steelhead over with his wife (our Postmistress).  So here I sit eating a wild caught, home smoked (and excellent) steelhead with a glass of French wine while I blog.

So... Halloween.  We actually didn't have as many trick-or treaters as we had been warned we might so we are up to our ears in candy. Add to it that the boys hit at least a 100 houses last night on streets with no cars and packed with families out walking and enjoying a 50 degree cloudless night. There were garage haunted houses. There were parents dressed up. There were friends out and about. All in all a great night.  The school parties this week included costume parades, games and homemade treats. It was all there as far as I was concerned. The boys were really tired by the end of the night last night. So here are some pictures.

Happy Halloween.
Now onto the Birthdays!
